This assignment is a research proposal on existing literature and research design for a hypothetical study on a topic related to social inequality. This paper focuses on the relationship between the English language proficiency of Latina women in the U.S. and their ability to interact with a healthcare provider. The paper is divided into an abstract section that outlines the contents and proposed study design, a review of existing literature, and the methods and discussion for how I would carry out a study on this topic.
This research proposal highlights my ability to identify gaps in existing research that I could potentially fill in with my own study. This paper also reflects my organizational skills as both a writer and researcher.
